Many scholarships are available from organizations hoping to elevate inclusion for women, veteran, minority students and underrepresented communities.

As the number of minority students enrolling in colleges and universities rises, the significance of their access to scholarships and financial aid has grown.

American Indian College Fund Scholarship
Hundreds of scholarships in all areas of study are available for Indigenous students with the American Indian College Fund. The priority deadline to apply for scholarships is May 31, 2024.

BestColleges Scholarship for Black Women in STEM
Amount: $6,000
Deadline: November 15
Details: Open to Black women who are currently enrolled or intend to enroll in a degree program in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

Beyoncé Knowles-Carters’ BeyGOOD x Cécred Fund
Amount: $500,000

Honors the knowledge and influence professional stylists have on hair health and the critical importance of advocating for the salon community. An annual $500,000 will fund cosmetology school scholarships and salon business grants.

Brown & Caldwell Minority Scholarship Program
Amount: $5,000
Deadline: August 15
Details: Open to minority students majoring in civil, chemical, mechanical, electrical or environmental engineering or one of the environmental sciences (e.g. geology, hydrogeology, ecology).

Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) Scholarships and Grants

Groundbreaker Leadership Scholarship
Amount: $1,500
Deadline: May 31
Details: Open to Asian American college seniors and college students (of all majors) who have exhibited exemplary leadership, vision, and passion that is blazing a trail for others to follow and changing lives in the Asian American community.
-Must be a US citizen
-Minimum 3.5 GPA

HBCU Week x NFL Scholarship
Amount: $10,000
Deadline: February 16
Details:This scholarship is open to students entering an HBCU and working towards a bachelor’s degree. Applicants will have to provide proof of acceptance into a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) to qualify. Acceptance letters can be submitted through 4/11. All other application materials must be submitted by 2/16.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund
Since 1975, HSF has awarded over $500 million in scholarships to more than 65,000 Scholars.

Minority Teacher Education Scholarship
Amount: $4,000 per year

Details: Open to Florida residents in a teacher education program at any of FFMT’s participating universities/colleges. Must be a junior or senior in college, or a graduate school student.

Northwest Journalists of Color Scholarships
Amount: $1,000
Deadline: May 17
Details: Strong preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the importance of diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences in newsrooms. You are eligible for these scholarships if you are EITHER:
-On the path to graduating from or have graduated from a Washington state high school
OR
-Attending a public or private college in Washington state

Warner Norcross and Judd LLP Diversity Law Scholarship
Amount: $1,000 – $5,000
Deadline: March 1
Details: Candidates for the law school scholarship must be accepted to or attending a Michigan law school or be a Michigan resident attending an accredited law school in the United States. Candidates for the paralegal and secretarial scholarships must be a Michigan resident majoring in paralegal or legal secretarial studies in an accredited program.
