The 2011 NCLR ALMA AWARDS - See the Photos!!

On Friday, September 16, some of the biggest names in entertainment came together for the 2011 National Council of La Raza (NCLR) ALMA Awards® on NBC, a one-of-a-kind tribute to the spirit of pioneering Latinos in television, film, and music. This was an opportunity to applaud the incredible, enriching contributions that Latinos make to American culture and celebrate our shared Hispanic heritage.

The return of the dynamic hosts, Eva Longoria and George Lopez, two of the most captivating and fascinating entertainers in America today, brought an amazing hour of unique performances and appearances by your favorite stars.

Since 1995, the NCLR ALMA Awards has promoted fair, accurate, and representative portrayals of Latinos in entertainment. They honor the incredible talent of the community and expect new generations to learn from the examples set by awardees such as Salma Hayek, Shakira, Narciso Rodriguez, America Ferrera, Edward James Olmos, and many more.

This special celebration honored Latino entertainers, culture, and talent and the 2011 NCLR ALMA Awards delivered, without a doubt, a night to remember and the Hispanic Network Magazine (HNM) was there to share with you some great moments!
